Designing and Deploying SAP on Azure

In: Azure

This course teaches IT Professionals experienced in SAP solutions, how to leverage Azure resources that include deployment and configuration of virtual machines, virtual networks, storage accounts, and Azure AD that includes implementing and managing hybrid identities.

You will also learn how cloud resources are managed in Azure through user and group accounts, and how to grant access to Azure AD users, groups, and services using Role-based access control (RBAC).

You will utilize essential tools used in the Azure environment, such as Cloud Shell and Resource Explorer. Specific emphasis is on PowerShell and the command line interface (CLI) as an important skill to acquire not only in preparation for the exam but for the job role itself.

Students of this course will learn through concepts, scenarios, procedures, and hands-on labs how to best plan and implement
migration and operation of a SAP solution on Azure.

Technical focus is in the following areas:

  • Inventory of existing SAP solution in preparation for migration
  • Inventory of technical dependencies
  • SAP on Azure Certified Solution Design
  • Technical network solutions
  • Technical security solutions
  • Expansion of infrastructure services
  • Data migration solutions
  • Technical operations

Administrators and architects of SAP on Azure should possess solid knowledge of SAP Applications, SAP HANA, S/4HANA, SAP NetWeaver, SAP BW, OS Servers for SAP Applications and Databases, Azure Portal, ARM templates, operating systems, virtualization, cloud infrastructure, storage structures, high availability design, disaster recovery design, data protection con

This course is for Azure Administrators who migrate and manage SAP solutions on Azure. Azure Administrators manage the cloud services that span storage, networking, and compute cloud capabilities, with a deep understanding of each service across the full IT lifecycle. They take end-user requests for new cloud applications and make recommendations on services to use for optimal performance and scale, as well as provision, size, monitor and adjust as appropriate. This role requires communicating and coordinating with vendors. Azure Administrators use the Azure Portal and as they become more proficient they use PowerShell and the Command Line Interface.

After completing this course, students will be able to:

  • Migrate and manage SAP applications (SAP HANA, S/4HANA, SAP NetWeaver) on Azure
  • Leverage Azure Portal, Cloud Shell, Azure PowerShell, CLI, Resource Manager, and Resource Manager Te
  • Use intersite connectivity features including VNet Peering, VNet-to-VNet connections, Site-to-Site C
  • Work with Azure Active Directory (AD), Azure AD Connect, and Azure AD Join, and Azure AD Identity Pr
